GRANTHAM GARDEN CLUB
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS
INFORMATION FOR 2021 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANTS
Eligibility
Each year the Grantham Garden Club (the "Club") offers financial scholarships to New Hampshire residents preparing for a career in horticulture, landscaping, forestry, agriculture, plant sciences, or environmental sciences at a post-secondary institution. To be eligible, students must be enrolled or about to enroll part-time or full-time in a certified college, community college, or technical school program in one of these fields. Regarding students preparing for a career in environmental sciences, preference will be given to those interested in topics related to plant life, such as conservation of local plant species, control of invasive plants, or soil conservation. The Club does not award scholarships to students in fish and wildlife management. If a student is not sure he/she is eligible, he/she should send an e-mail to GiftAid@granthamgardenclub.org for clarification.

Award(s)
The Club determines the amount available for awards to eligible scholarship applicants on an annual basis. For example, in past years, the Club has awarded between $500 and $1500 in total to eligible applicants. The total amount may be awarded to one applicant, or divided among multiple qualified applicants, at the Club's sole discretion. Examples of some factors that may impact the Club's decision in this regard may include the number of applications received and the merits of the applicants in a particular year. Applicants receiving a scholarship award are sent an award notification, but the actual financial award is sent directly to the college or technical school an applicant is attending, and may be used for tuition, books, or other expenses that support his/her education.
