SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2025 scholarship application process!
We look forward to accepting applications for 2026 beginning February 1st.

MISSION
The organization's mission is to:
  • promote through education the love of gardening among amateurs
  • promote the study of horticulture
  • protect our native trees, wildflowers, pollinators, and birds
  • encourage civic beautification
  • engage in activities that are charitable and educational, including without limitation, awarding educational scholarships and grants in furtherance of this mission
ELIGIBILITY
Each year the Grantham Garden Club (GGC) offers financial scholarship to New Hampshire residents preparing for a career in agriculture, horticulture, landscaping,  forestry, plant science, or environmental science at a post-secondary institution.

Individuals must be enrolled or about to enroll part-time or full-time in an accredited college, community college, or technical school in one of the stated fields. Preference is given to applicants with clear career goals and past experience (volunteer or paid) in their chosen field.

For applicants enrolled in environmental science, preference will be given to those interested in topics related to plant life, such as conservation of local plant species, control of invasive plants, or soil conservation.

The GGC does not award scholarships for studying fish and wildlife management.

AWARDS
The GGC determines the amount available for awards on an annual basis. The total amount may be awarded to one applicant or divided among multiple qualified applicants. Factors that may affect the decision include the number of applications received and the merit of the applicants in a particular year.

The GGC sends award notifications to successful applicants. Financial awards may be used for tuition, books, or other expenses that support the recipient’s education.
